IKADPAUDI Embraces More Than 200 Early Childhood Education Doctors to Advance Early Childhood Education

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Early Childhood Education Doctors Association (IKADPAUDI) is committed to embracing more than 200 early childhood education doctors spread across various regions in Indonesia to jointly make a real contribution to the advancement of early childhood education. This commitment was conveyed in an online discussion as well as the launch of the IKADPAUDI organization on Sunday, June 14, 2020. General Chairperson of IKADPAUDI, Dr. Sukiman, stated that this organization was formed as a space for early childhood education doctors to complement each other, strengthen networks, and unite steps in improving the quality of early childhood education implementation in Indonesia. The doctors gathered by IKADPAUDI come from diverse professional backgrounds, including academics, lecturers, practitioners, and other related fields. This diversity of expertise is an important capital for the development of early childhood education. IKADPAUDI views early childhood education doctors as strategic resources that can contribute to the development of Indonesian human resources, including supporting the long-term agenda towards the Golden Generation of Indonesia 2045. The presence of IKADPAUDI is not merely a gathering place. The organization is directed to become a space for dedication and collaboration that allows knowledge, professional experience, research results, and best practices from its members to be translated into beneficial contributions for children, families, educators, early childhood education units, society, and the government. One of the challenges that has been a concern since the inception of IKADPAUDI is the issue of access and quality of early childhood education services. Increasing children's participation in educational services needs to go hand in hand with improving the quality of early childhood education institution implementation. Therefore, strengthening educator capacity, scientific development, improving service quality, and supporting educational policies are areas that can be strengthened through the joint work of early childhood education doctors. IKADPAUDI Advisory Board, Prof. Fasli Jalal, emphasized that the existence of professional organizations is increasingly important in line with the development of a country. Organizations like IKADPAUDI are required to be able to keep up with needs and changes in the education sector while continuing to update insights on developments in science, both at the national and international levels. This spirit is an important foundation for IKADPAUDI's journey. By bringing together early childhood education doctors from various regions and fields of expertise, the organization has the opportunity to build a stronger academic and professional ecosystem through research, scientific publications, community service, the development of educational practices, and contributions to public policy. IKADPAUDI believes that the development of Indonesian human resources needs to start from an early age. Therefore, the knowledge and competence of early childhood education doctors need to continue to be utilized to encourage the implementation of quality, inclusive, sustainable early childhood education that favors the best interests of children.
